- To All,
-
- TRS will be starting up an online magazine entitled COS (as in
- cosine), which stands for Corporate Object Systems. COS will be
- entirely devoted to the object oriented industry. The
- implementation, challenges, issues and solutions that are
- encountered when attempting to develop and deploy object
- oriented solutions within an MIS world. Our scheduled first
- issue date will be July 1, 1996. The magazine will be published
- quarterly, and may be moved up to monthly depending upon
- interest. Initially the subscription will be free, but it may
- become a fee based subscription in the future.
-
- Columns and articles will include:
- Management Strategies
- Design Issues
- Language Issues (Smalltalk, C++, Java)
- OO Questions/Answer sessions
- Smalltalk Man Comic Strip
- Others ...
-
- The magazine will attempt to utilize the newest technology on
- the Web for distribution (Shockwave for animation, ReelAudio for
- audio comments, Adobe Acrobat for article review, others).
-
- We are looking for potential authors and contributors. There is
- a small stipend (around $100-$200 depending upon contribution).
- If you are interested in working with this project, please send
- an email (SJC@TRSNET.COM) with your qualifications (resume or
- C.V. would be appreciated), a brief (50 words or less) synopsis
- of any topic ideas, copies (electronic if possible) of previous
- published works. Your submission will be reviewed and you
- should receive an answer in 2-4 weeks.
-
- Thank you for your interest.
